Pattern Review – Owl Cocoon by ShiFio’s Patterns

I was asked by a work colleague to make an Owl Cocoon. I was provided with the below photo:

If the pattern was going to be anywhere, it’ll be on Ravelry! The pattern was really easy to find – Baby Owl Cocoon by ShiFio’s Patterns. I purchased the pattern for £3.54. The patterns covers from premmie to 6 months. I made the cocoon in the largest size so it can be used for a long time. I sat down with my colleague and discussed the colours she wanted. I brought all of the yarn from Hobbycraft to ensure that it was baby soft as well as easily washable. I brought £20 worth of yarn and there was enough left over to make simple beanies in a range of sizes (newborn to 6 months).

I printed out the pattern (as usual) and found it really easy to follow. It took me about 1 month to crochet and assemble (on and off). The final result was great. My colleague was over the moon with the finished cocoon. I love it when all your hard work is appreciated.

Since making the Cocoon, there are now more patterns within this range. Here are some of the items:-

All of these patterns are available on Ravelry under ShiFio’s Patterns. There is a staggering 354 patterns available! Check them out, you’ll be sure to find something?

Till next time, Annie xx
